The biggest challenge in developing this H5 game with Claude was the three-phase bullet-hell system for the Queen Bee boss—spiral bullets, ring bullets, and homing bullets combined with collision attacks, a logic so complex that bugs were almost inevitable. Claude helped me break it down into phases using a state machine, implementing and testing each module incrementally, compressing what could have been days of debugging into just a few hours. During touchscreen adaptation, the Canvas coordinate mapping went wrong, and Claude quickly pinpointed the issue—getBoundingClientRect wasn't included in the calculation—and fixed it in one go. The core value of AI-assisted development isn't about writing code; it's about helping you break complex problems down into verifiable, manageable steps.
